Tea Lovers has been supplying its speciality teas and teawares to Australian Cafes and Retail Businesses for 20 years (as well as Chef’s Complements in NZ!). Operating from its warehouses in the Camden Region of South West Sydney, Tea Lovers is a family-owned business with community ties in the Southern Highlands Area.

Cast iron teapots were created in ancient China. The Japanese then adopted and developed them as decorative items. They symbolise the everlasting strength and unity of the world. Through special chemical treatments, impurities have been removed from the cast iron during the production process. A coating of misty black enamel is then applied to help prevent the development of rust. As water is boiled, trace amounts of iron in the water from the teapot provides an iron supplement that contributes to human health. Enjoy the Tea Lovers range of cast iron teapots as a decorative showpiece that evokes the elegance of the Orient.

Cast Iron Teapots make for a quality lasting teapot, or a unique oriental showpiece in any home. The Tea Lovers range of Cast Iron teapots are based on authentic and traditional Japanese designs and patterns.

  • Before using, rinse the teapot with boiling water to both clean and warm the cast iron
  • After each use, make sure the teapot is clean from tea leaves and patted dry to prevent the development of rust
  • In the unlikely event of rust, the pot can still be used. Clean the rusted areas with a soft brush, then fill the pot with used tea leaves and boiling water. The tannic acid from the tea will naturally react with the iron, producing a black seal, covering the rusted area. This also helps to prevent future rust.
  • Store in a cool dry place
