Wilton Paste Icing Colour Red Red

Use this Red-Red Wilton gel colouring for fondant, royal & buttercream icings, marzipan, flower & modelling pastes plus cake mixes & pastries. Wilton gel colour is made to produce deeper, richer colour by adding just a small amount. The concentrated gel formula helps you achieve the exact shade without watering down your icing. You’ll find a rainbow of colours, ready to blend together to create your own infinite range of shades.

There are three different reds – Christmas Red, a blue-toned red; Red-Red, an orange toned red; and Red-No Taste, a blue toned red. It can take as much as 1 oz. of red paste colour to one cup of icing to get a deep red. When icing is coloured deep red, a bitter after taste may be detected. Red No-Taste should be used when a large portion of red colouring is used on the cake.

Our Tip: It’s best to dip a toothpick in the paste and add very small amounts each time, as it is an extremely effective colouring. You can add more but you can’t take away!
