Born in Sweden, launched in 2008 with a clear vision. The brand set out to create products that balance beauty with everyday function. Inspired by Scandinavian landscapes and the Swedish way of life, each design feels calm, thoughtful and practical. As a result, the products suit modern homes and daily routines.
The brand works closely with skilled designers who understandthe Swedish lifestyle and values. Together, they focus on quality, durability and clean design. Whenever possible, Born in Sweden uses recycled raw materials. For example, many Stumpa and cork products feature recycled content. However, when recycling is not possible, the brand chooses materials that can be recycled instead.
Running a small design company brings constant challenges. Even so, Born in Sweden embraces the process with care and curiosity. The team values strong partnerships and open collaboration. Therefore, building long-lasting relationships remains a central goal, both in Sweden and internationally.
Through its products and imagery, Born in Sweden aims to share a sense of Scandinavian living with the wider world. The brand hopes to inspire simple moments, thoughtful choices and a closer connection to nature.
The head office and warehouse sit in Borås, around 40 minutes east of Gothenburg. In addition, a smaller office on the island of Tjörn supports creative work and hosts most brand photoshoots, set along Sweden’s beautiful west coast.
