CMC (Carboxymethyl Cellulose) is often used as a fondant stabilizer to dry more quickly. It also helps products retain moisture.
Directions: Add CMC to rolled fondant to give gum paste-like qualities to model with. Use to make bows, flowers, figures or decorative accents to dry into your desired shape.
Make edible glue! Mix 1/4 tsp CMC with 2 tbsp warm water and mix thoroughly. In a sealed container, refrigerate overnight. (Add more CMC to thicken or more water to thin).
