A bread knife built for effortless slicing.
Perfect slices start with the right knife. The Messermeister Oliva Elite Scalloped Bread Knife 22.5 cm glides through crusty loaves, soft brioche, and even cakes without crushing or tearing. Also, the scalloped edge works beautifully on tomatoes, citrus, and delicate baked goods, giving clean, precise cuts every time.
Because craftsmanship matters, artisans forge each blade by hand. They hot drop forge it from a single billet of premium German stainless steel. Next, they hand-finish it in Solingen using techniques refined over generations. As a result, the serrated, scalloped edge maintains its performance, while the flat grind ensures smooth, controlled slicing.
In addition, the olive wood handle combines elegance and comfort. The Mediterranean olive wood is sculpted for a secure, ergonomic grip. Because it is naturally antibacterial, it stays safe and beautiful through frequent use. Every knife is unique, blending precision engineering with lasting performance for home or professional bakers.

Use & Care:
Proper care will preserve the performance and beauty of your Oliva Elite knife for years to come.
- Hand wash only using warm water and a mild detergent
- Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately after washing
- Clean the blade promptly after cutting acidic or salty foods such as tomatoes, citrus, or vinegar-based ingredients
- Never place in the dishwasher, as heat and detergents will damage both blade and handle
- Apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or wood cream to the olive wood handle every few weeks
- Store in a blade guard, knife block, or on a magnetic rack to protect the edge
With regular care, the blade will maintain its sharpness and the olive wood handle will develop a rich, natural patina over time.
