These loaded hot dogs are packed with juicy sausages, melty cheese, caramelised onions, tangy pickles, and a generous drizzle of Schmack Burger Sauce, making them the perfect easy meal or crowd-pleasing snack.
Method
- Cook your preferred sausage/hot dog, pan fry sausage or simmer a frankfurter.
- While the sausages are cooking, very finely dice the onion and add to a small fry pan with the butter and sauté the onions for 6-7 minutes over a medium heat until lightly golden and starting to caramelise.
- Remove onions from the heat and stir in the Blow My Coals. Set aside.
- Cut the hot dog buns down the centre and pop them in the microwave for 30-45 seconds to steam.
- Sprinkle a little grated cheese down the centre of each steamed hot dog bun, followed by a sausage.
- Top each hot dog with a generous dollop of burger sauce, followed by a spoonful of the onion mixture and add a couple of pickles to garnish.
