When to register

The best time to create a registry is as soon as you start planning your celebration. This gives you time to carefully choose the items you'd love, and it allows friends, family, or colleagues plenty of time to shop from your list.

For example:

  • Weddings & Anniversaries - 3-6 months before the event
  • Baby Showers - around the beginning of the second trimester
  • Birthdays & Housewarmings - a few weeks in advance
  • Corporate milestones - as soon as the event date is confirmed

But really, there's no wrong time! Set one up whenever you're ready to celebrate, and we'll help make gifting simple.

After you register

Be sure to let family & friends know you have created your registry with Chef's Complements! Share them your personalised registry link, or they can simply search for your first and last name under ‘Search Registries'. If you wish for your registry to be private to only those you want to share it to, you can choose to make it private when creating or managing the registry, and this will make it hidden in the ‘Search Registries'

  • Gift Wrapping

    Your guests have the option to gift wrap their purchase if they choose to. Any profits from our gift wrapping service are donated to our local food bank. Please see more on Gift Wrapping here.

  • Gift Vouchers

    +

    Want to give your guests the option of a gift voucher? Simply add a gift voucher to your registry, to let your guests choose how much they want to gift, in the form of an in-store or online voucher of your choice. We will combine any voucher purchases into one voucher. Don't forget, for every $1,000 spent, we'll add in a $50 voucher, as a thank you for having your registry with Chef's Complements.

  • Can our guests include a message?

    Yes! During checkout, there's an option to include a free gift note. Once your guest has selected this, they can add their personalised message, and we'll include it with the gift. Guests also have the option to add a paid gift card if they'd like to give something extra special. 💖

  • Delivery or Collection

    When creating your registry, you can choose for gifts to be shipped to a chosen shipping address upon the completion date of your registry or for gifts to be collected in-store. Gifts will be stored together in-store, and once the registry is complete, shipped to your address, or you will be notified that they are ready for collection. The delivery service is complimentary.

  • Will our guests be charged for delivery?

    If you choose for your registry to be collected in-store, there will be no freight charge for your guests. If you choose for your registry to be shipped, if it is over our freight free policy of $150, there will be no shipping. If your registry is under $150, the guest will need to pay the shipping charge for your shipping address. Our Shipping Costs can be seen here

  • Can we have our gifts delivered later?

    Going away on holiday or a honeymoon? Maybe you have a baby about to pop and do not want to deal with the gifts right now? Or perhaps you're moving house and don't want the gifts to turn up at the wrong address?

    No worries, let us know your preferred delivery date prior to the registry completion and we'll make sure this arrives when suits you.

  • How do we know what has been purchased?

    When viewing your registry, you will be able to see a 'Wants' column, a 'Has' column and a 'Needs' column. Wants is how many of this item you are after, Has is how many have been purchased already, and Needs is how many there still are to purchase. This will be updated as soon as an order has been placed in-store, and shortly after they've been made for instore purchases as these will need to be adjusted manually. This makes your list as up-to-date as possible, to ensure there are not any gifts doubled up. If this were to happen, don't fret, we will get in contact with the purchaser and sort through options.

  • Can our guests buy a gift in-store?

    They sure can! They simply need to come in-store and talk to our expert team about the chosen registry, and we can assist in finding it and making sure that the gift they wish to purchase hasn't been purchased, and then once they've bought your gift, we'll swiftly update the registry online.

  • Returns & Exchanges

    Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page for more information. The 14-day return policy will be effective from the day you receive your gifts, not from the date of purchase.

  • What about out-of-stocks?

    +

    There is a chance that from the time you have created your registry to when the guests are ready to purchase your gifts, there may be an item that goes out of stock. If this happens, we can inform you if there is an ETA and if you'd like to keep this in the registry if it is due to arrive before the end of your registry. If the item is not due to come back in stock, or looks to be deleted, we can recommend alternatives to you

  • What about sales and price changes?

    All products in your gift registry are subject to price changes and will show the current price for the product. This means any products on sale, could come off promotion while it is in your registry, or the price could increase or decrease at any point, changing the value of your registry. This could affect your total that goes towards your bonus gift voucher from Chef's Complements. Once a guest purchases an item off the list, this is the final price, and even if the price goes up before the delivery date, there will be no hidden costs.

Gift Registry Terms & Conditions

For every $1,000 spent through your registry, you’ll receive a $50 voucher, as a gift from Chef’s Complements. Exclusions apply: electrical items, gift vouchers, and products already on sale or under promotion do not count towards the spend total. The $1,000 spend threshold must be reached within a single registry. Multiple registries cannot be combined to qualify for a voucher.

Vouchers are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and must be redeemed within the validity period stated on the voucher. Vouchers are redeemable in-store or online at Chef’s Complements. Please state which option you’d prefer.

Chef’s Complements reserves the right to amend, update, or discontinue the Gift Registry service, including these Terms & Conditions, at any time without prior notice.
