METHOD
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornflour, sugar, and baking powder.
- In a medium-sized bowl, add together melted butter, milk, and olive oil, and stir to combine.
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks and set the whites aside in a separate bowl. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract to the milk mixture.
- Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Use an electric mixer to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Using a spatula, fold the egg whites into the batter mixture. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a glass jug with a spout for easy pouring.
- Heat the Cuisinart Waffle Dipper Maker on setting 4. When the green indicator light turns on, pour the mixture row by row onto the waffle maker plates and close the lid.
- The green light will light up to indicate the waffle is ready.
- Allow to cool slightly before inserting paddle pop sticks for waffle pops!
- Dip your birthday waffle in an icing glaze and colourful sprinkles!
- Enjoy!
