One of the most versatile knives you can own, precision without compromise.
The Messermeister Oliva Elite Utility Knife sits between a paring knife and a chef’s knife. This makes it ideal for quick, accurate tasks where control matters more than size. It handles fruit, vegetables, cheese, and sandwiches with ease. When a larger knife feels cumbersome, this blade is your go-to choice.
Each blade is hot drop forged from a single billet of premium German stainless steel. Then it is handcrafted one at a time in Solingen using traditional techniques. As a result, every knife delivers excellent balance, strength, and lasting sharpness. The hand-polished 15-degree Elite edge ensures clean, precise cuts, while the flat grind blade offers smooth, controlled slicing.
The sculpted Mediterranean olive wood handle is comfortable and secure. Its natural grain adds warmth and elegance, making every knife unique. This is a blade built to perform beautifully now and age gracefully over time.

Use & Care:
Proper care will preserve the performance and beauty of your Oliva Elite knife for years to come.
- Hand wash only using warm water and a mild detergent
- Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately after washing
- Clean the blade promptly after cutting acidic or salty foods such as tomatoes, citrus, or vinegar-based ingredients
- Never place in the dishwasher, as heat and detergents will damage both blade and handle
- Apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or wood cream to the olive wood handle every few weeks
- Store in a blade guard, knife block, or on a magnetic rack to protect the edge
With regular care, the blade will maintain its sharpness and the olive wood handle will develop a rich, natural patina over time.
