This juice recipe combines ingredients that promote digestive system health by soothing the stomach and reducing bloating and gas. The combination of soluble fibre, high water content, and bioactive nutrition ensures your digestive system feels light, calm, and well-nourished.

Incorporating this juice into your daily health routine can be especially beneficial for your digestive system.

It is best to drink this juice away from other foods to maximise the nutritional benefits.

Ingredient Tips

  • Refrigerate the pears and cucumbers before juicing for an extra refreshing drink.
  • If you prefer a milder taste, reduce the amount of ginger or leave it out entirely. Conversely, for a spicier kick, add a little more.
  • A splash of lemon juice can elevate the flavour and add a touch of tanginess.

Preparation:

Pear – Remove the hard wooden stems. Juice whole or cut in half if too big to fit into the wide chute.

Cucumber – Cut into chunks to fit down the chute. Juice with skin on.

Ginger – Wash and dry. Cut into thin pieces the size of your thumbnail, leaving the skin on.

Mint – Remove the leaves from the woody stems. Juice leaves in handfuls.

Fennel – Remove the green stems and leaves (they can be juiced). Cut into half and then slice to fit in the wide chute.

Method

  1. When using a traditional cold press juicer use the following method to maximise the flavour and keep the juice following through the machine easily.
  2. Start by feeding the mint leaves into the juicer, followed by the fennel pieces and the ginger.
  3. Add the cucumber next; go slowly as the cucumber is soft, and you don’t want to get a build-up of cucumber pulp in the juicer.
  4. Lastly, juice the pears one at a time.
