The Gluten-Free Rustic White Bread Loaf offers a deliciously soft, airy texture with a crisp, golden crust. Made with quality gluten-free ingredients, this loaf delivers a classic, hearty flavor that’s perfect for sandwiches or served alongside soups and salads. It’s the ideal choice for those seeking a gluten-free alternative that doesn’t compromise on taste or texture.

Method

  1. In a large bowl or your electric mixer bowl, combine your yeast, sugar and water. Leave to rest until it starts to froth.
  2. Add Gluten Free Rustic Bread Mix, egg white and vinegar.
  3. Mix until you have a smooth dough. It will be sticky, but you should be able to pull the dough away from the sides of the bowl quite easily.
  4. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Please don’t skip this step – it allows the dough to absorb the liquid.
  5. Lightly mix again and place into a greased and lightly floured bread tin. Leave to rise for approximately 30 minutes.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C for 50 minutes until golden.
  7. Remove from tin as soon as cooked to prevent a soggy bottom. Your bread is cooked when you knock the top and it sounds hollow. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Bread Maker Option:

  1. Add your ingredients to your bread maker pan in the following order: yeast, sugar, water, Gluten Free Rustic White Bread Mix, egg white, vinegar.
  2. Select the gluten free setting and press go (if your bread maker does not have a specific gluten free setting, we recommend that you use the conventional oven method).
  3. After 5 minutes use a soft spatula and scrape down any unmixed dry ingredients. Some models have a beep reminder to do this.
  4. Close the lid and do not peek until it finishes baking!
  5. Once baked, remove from pan as soon as cooked to prevent a soggy bottom.

Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
