This juice is not only delicious but also rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and digestive aids, making it an ideal revitalising drink for your liver. Juicing is an excellent method to consume a variety of potent healing nutrients in a form that’s easy to digest.
This combination is inspired by a juice recipe from the Liver Rescue book by Medical Medium.
The sweetness of apples and pineapple pairs perfectly with the refreshing taste of celery, the spicy kick of ginger, and the fresh, herbal notes of parsley.
Preparation
Celery – Chop stalks into small thumb-sized pieces across the stalks. You can juice celery leaves, however, it will add bitterness, so discard if you don’t like this.
Apple – Remove the stem. Juice apples whole, with skin and seeds. Cut in halves or quarters if too big to fit in the chute.
Parsley – Roughly chop leaves and stems. Juice handfuls at a time.
Ginger – Wash and dry. Cut into then pieces the size of you’re thumbnail leaving the skin on.
Pineapple – Slice off the outer skin. Cut into long, thin strips to fit down the chute. Chop the core into small cubes.
Method
- Begin making this juice by starting with parsley. Form it into a small ball in your hand and place it in the juicer.
- Next, add the apple to help push the light parsley through the press.
- Add the celery, allowing the machine to squeeze thoroughly.
- Then, add the ginger.
- Finish with the pineapple pieces.
