Use & Care:
- Beat eggs, then add butter, vanilla and milk. Beat together for 30 seconds
- In a separate bowl, sift together all dry ingredients. Add egg mixture to the dry ingredients, beating until smooth
- Heat 5cm of cooking oil to 185°C / 365°F
- Pour the batter mixture into the doughnut dispenser
- Hold directly over heated oil with fingers, press the plunger knob with your thumb and release quickly
- Repeat the pressing and releasing process
- Adjust the thickness of the doughnut by turning the valve on the bottom of the doughnut maker
- Turn the doughnuts over as soon as they brown on the underside
- When completely browned, remove and place on a wire cooling rack
- Roll in cinnamon sugar to decorate
Hand washing is recommended.
Makes 12 doughnuts
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1 tablespoon softened butter or shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or your favourite extract (or 2 teaspoons of orange juice)

- In a separate bowl sift together all dry ingredients. Add egg mixture to the dry ingredients, beating until smooth
