This 30-minute dinner is one for everyone to enjoy, even the cook, because it is quick and easy to make. In this one-pan recipe, apples and cinnamon are cooked with a delicious sauce. Using bone-in pork chops helps the meat hold flavour and remain juicy. This dish is great paired with mashed potatoes and green beans. Kids are also huge fans of this dish because of the apple taste.

Method:

  1. In a large, 6.3 qt shallow casserole pan over medium heat, melt 1 Tbsp of butter.
  2. Add in onions and saute for 5 minutes.
  3. Add in apples and cinnamon and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove apples and onions from the pan and set aside onto a plate.
  5. Add the remaining butter to the skillet.
  6. When melted, add in rosemary.
  7. Season pork chops with salt and pepper and add to the pan.
  8. Cook 5 minutes each side.
  9. Remove pork from the pan and place it onto a plate.
  10. Add the onion and apple mixture to the pan and pour in apple cider.
  11. Scrape up the brown bits on the bottom of the pan and nestle the pork chops in.
  12. Place the lid on and cook 10 – 12 minutes until cooked through.
  13. Enjoy!
