The ‘Suribachi’ (Japanese term for grinding bowl) is used for Japanese cooking to crush different ingredients such as herbs and seeds. Features a ribbed unglazed interior referred to as ‘Kushi-no-me’ holds ingredients in the mortar for more efficient grinding. Mortar is made from white porcelain with exterior glaze.
