Use & Care:
La Cafetière coffee plungers are easy to clean and have reusable stainless steel filters, eliminating the need for filter papers whilst trapping even the smallest coffee granules.
Do not expose this item to a direct heat source
Cleaning:
- Pour any surplus coffee away, remove the lid, and filter.
- Dispose of the used coffee grinds.
- To remove the La Cafetière glass jug, hold the handle of the stand and gently push it upwards from the base, sliding it out.
- Take care not to force the jug, as extreme pressure could cause it to break.
- The glass jug is dishwasher-safe.
- To clean the lid and filter, unscrew the plunger by twisting the arm anti-clockwise. The filter will unscrew. Separate the filter components, wash in hot, soapy water, and rinse thoroughly.
- Handwash the lid in hot, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing to prevent corrosion.
- Place ground coffee into the glass jug.
- Add boiling water.
- Leave the coffee to infuse for 2 minutes, then slowly depress the plunger. To retain heat, turn the lid 180° to close off the pouring lip.
