Refresh Your Ceramic Sharpener.
The Global G-45/R Replacement Ceramic Rod is a genuine replacement component for the Global G-45 Ceramic Sharpener, allowing you to continue maintaining your knives with a fine ceramic sharpening surface. Designed for use between whetstone sharpenings, this ceramic rod helps refine and maintain a razor-sharp edge on quality kitchen knives.
Ceramic sharpening rods are used in the same way as traditional sharpening steels, gently realigning and refining the knife edge during regular maintenance. While diamond rods are harder and restore an edge faster, ceramic rods are ideal for achieving a finer finish when used regularly. The ceramic surface is also suitable for maintaining a wide range of quality kitchen knives, not just Global knives.

Use & Care:
- Use only as a replacement rod for the Global G-45 Ceramic Sharpener.
- Clean the ceramic rod regularly with warm soapy water to remove metal residue.
- Use a soft brush or non-abrasive scourer if required.
- Dry thoroughly before storing.
- Do not strike or drop the ceramic rod, as excessive impact may cause damage.
- Use gentle, controlled strokes when sharpening to protect the knife edge.
NOTE: The ceramic steel, through use, can discolour – this is a residue that has built up in the pores of the ceramic. Use warm soapy water and, if necessary, a scourer to help keep your ceramic steel clean.
