The Pyrolux Carbon Steel Wok with Wood Handle 30 cm is designed for fast, high-heat cooking, making it ideal for stir-fries, searing and sautéing. Crafted from durable spun carbon steel, it heats quickly and responds instantly to temperature changes, giving you greater control over every meal.

Its flat base provides stability on all cooktops, including induction, while the gently sloping sides make tossing ingredients effortless. The long rubberwood handle stays cooler during cooking and offers a comfortable, secure grip. With regular seasoning and care, the carbon steel develops a naturally non-stick cooking surface that improves with every use.

Use & Care:

Before first use:

  • Remove all packaging. Wash the entire surface with a scourer and warm soapy water to remove the anti-rust coating.
  • Rinse and dry completely with a paper towel. Optionally, place on low heat to complete the drying process.
  • On high heat, apply a very thin, even coating of vegetable oil to the cookware inside and out using tongs to hold the paper towel. When it starts smoking, lower to medium heat. Wipe away any excess oil. Turn off the heat and let the pan cool.
  • Repeat as necessary (3 repeated seasonings should give it a good coating).
  • Maintain the seasoning by applying a very thin layer of oil after each cleaning.

After each use:

  • While the wok is still warm, run hot water on the inside and scrape off any cooked food residues with a sponge or soft-bristle dish brush. Use a small amount of dishwashing detergent if needed.
  • Avoid highly abrasive cleaners or scrubbing the wok.
  • Hand wash only. Not dishwasher safe.
  • Do not immerse in water for long periods.
  • Dry the wok by heating on the hob. Allow to cool.
  • Always apply a thin coating of oil before storing to prevent rusting. (Note: Rust is not a manufacturing defect. Rusty pans cannot be claimed under warranty.)
  • Your wok will darken in colour with repeated use and seasoning.
