A timeless French classic for slow cooking, roasting, baking and serving.

STAUB Cast Iron Cocottes are versatile pieces of cookware designed to move seamlessly from stovetop to oven to table. Use them for everything from tender braises, stews and roasts to risotto, soups and freshly baked bread. The cast iron construction provides excellent heat retention and even heat distribution, making it ideal for gentle, controlled cooking.

The heavy cast iron body holds heat exceptionally well, while the black matte enamel interior requires little fat for frying and helps develop rich, full flavour. The tough, chip-resistant enamel coating makes the cocotte suitable for everyday cooking, while its classic design makes a beautiful presentation piece when serving.

The lid features STAUB’s signature self-basting system, with specially designed nodules that collect condensation and return it evenly over the food as it cooks. This continuous circulation helps retain moisture and creates tender, flavourful results.

Made in France using traditional sand moulding techniques, each STAUB cocotte is individually crafted. The smooth base works on all cooking surfaces, including induction, while the durable enamel finish lets the cocotte go from the kitchen to the dining table with ease.
